Mediation

Mediations are negotiations between two or more parties, with the assistance of a neutral facilitator, known as the mediator. The mediator does not offer legal advice to any party or say what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. Rather, a mediator is there to assist the parties to collaboratively reach a resolution. We have experience mediating the following disputes:

- Family, Community and Elder;
- Employment and Workplace;
- Corporate and Contract; and
- Personal Injury and Insurance.

Disclaimer for PMI Calgary's Services

A mediator is a neutral third party who will assist the parties to reach their own settlement. A mediator does not provide any decisions about ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ or tell what the parties what to do.

A mediator does not offer legal services to any party. A mediator cannot interpret or provide an opinion on legal issues or legal precedent. Further, a mediator does not provide legal counsel or legal advice of any kind.

Any party is encouraged to hire independent legal counsel, who can attend any scheduled mediation if they wish to do so.
